Me at Vibrations

Can't stop won't stop

A man killed two NY cops and now they are asking that we suspend our protests. Um, no. No not at all. We can mourn the death of the officers and black lives taken by officers. We can.

Free write

This morning I went to my good friend's graduation from Antioch University. I'm super proud of her. After graduation I went to church with my mom then the Christmas dinner at the church after. It was great being with my mother and seeing old, friendly faces. The food was good too.

It's 6:05 pm now and I'm home. I spent most of yesterday being quiet. I needed it. I got some news about my stupid insurance yesterday I wasn't happy about. Blah blah blah.

I've been quiet on my blog for much of this year. Last year's post were filled with all these political post and who got shot and killed and kidnapped and white folks and black folks and eventually emotionally it affected me. I'm gearing up for another year of A Poem a Day. I expect 2015 will be an interesting (whatever that means ) year again. I have to work out a program to protect myself emotionally.

Things are changing. They just are. I don't know what that means all the way either. But it's in the air.

I'm looking forward to my show in Utah on the 26th. I'm ready for snow. For cold. For chocolate and wine and a big crowd of folks listening to me read and perform poetry and banter about the world.

This free write was helpful. I think. I need to release words. You know how I am.
