A poem a day for 2013 - day 121 - The morning...show

Nephew Tommy, from The Steve Harvey Morning Show, prank called a Mexican-American man, Eduardo, on the air the other day and said he was a neighbor and wanted to know if he would come over to repair his roof

Eduardo politely, at first, wanted to know how he got his name and number and explained that he was a loan officer at a bank and did not repair roofs

But do you cut grass? Was the question that followed

As Eduardo became more and more upset the comedian humiliated himself (and every other human) more and more

I thought all Mexicans cut grass
I'm just trying to give you some work
What are you getting so upset about

I could feel Eduardo's fire through the radio

But Tommy did not stop

Finally he revealed himself and Eduardo's "friend" who gave him the number

And now it is not funny
As if it ever was
Because who could call a man's home early morning
Disrespect him and his people for millions to hear
Then expect him to laugh
Because he was just joking
On
The
Air

Dear Steve Harvey...
