Gratitude

I give thanks for the people in my life
Friends who call to give love
Friends who visit and share laughter
I am ever grateful for my family
For my son
My mother
Aunts and uncles
I am thankful for peace and quiet
I am even grateful for fleeting moments that come
That have come tonight of feeling low
I am thankful that low does not last
That low is temporary
I am thankful for my health and strength
For understanding and forgiveness
I am thankful for protection and guidance
I am thankful for recognizing that my son has his own walk with God
As do I
As do we all
I am thankful for knowing what I can control and what I cannot
I am thankful for love
