Gratitude

I am thankful for waking up this morning
For love and compassion
I am thankful for the writing class last night
For ease and grace
I am thankful for my son
For face to face conversations and being able to hear and see him laugh
I am thankful for my friends and family
For words and art and poetry
I am thankful for the books in my bookcase and the music that makes me relax
I am thankful for life today
So thankful
I am thankful for a job to go to today
Thankful for the children in my poetry class
I am thankful for love
