Flypoet Showcase

Good morning all. It's 10:28 on this glorious day. I had a blissful time last night at John Hensley's Flypoet Showcase. I went to support my friends Aida Rodriguez, Donny Jackson and Thea Monyee. Tasha Jones and El were also featured (they were new to me). Oh, there was also a sixteen year old young woman who sang Georgia on my mind while playing the ukulele. What?! And she worked it. It was a great show. All of the artists did their things.

The show started at 8 but the doors opened at 6 so that we could watch the presidential debate. Word! I loved that there was a crowd for that. I thought the debate was overall dissappointing and if I had to give it to one man over the other it would go to Mitt. Not based on facts and plans or who would be better to lead this nation, but in general performance. He said things like repealing Obamacare and cutting PBS to the president's face and for my money I would have liked a firmer response from the president. Firmer all the way around but then I don't know his strategy. I am looking forward to the next one though.
