Early August I went to the emergency room at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, GA. I went into the emergency room at 10am on Friday and waited, seriously vaginally bleeding, until 11 the next morning when I was called to see the doctor. While the treatment I received was kind and professional, it wasn't, in my opinion worth the $1,000.00 bill I got. Really? A thousand dollars? For the three Tylonols and vaginal exam?
I passed plenty of hospitals to go to Grady because it was really an emergency and I didn't think I would be charged up the wazoo. I could have gone to a hospital in my own neighborhood and been seen WITHIN 24 HOURS and paid the same thing.
Umm, yeah, wow.
