What happened

Last night at the show an artist came up to me and said "Hey what's up, Jaha? What happened, a while ago you said you wanted to own some of my art but you haven't bought anything yet?" I respected his approach and responded, "Yeah, I would love to have some of your work. At that time I had a little money for some art but I just don't now." Before I could get that sentence out he gave me the polite half wave and said "Ahhhhhhhiiiii ain't tryina...I was just..." And then went on to tell me where he would be next. So I was left like "Oh, you didn't really want to know what happened. You just wanted to accuse me of not buying your art." Ok.
