Jaha TV

Whether I get paid for it or not, I have my own little reality show, right here on this blog. And I have a ball on it. Can you tell? Emptying my thoughts, prayers and emotions. So therapeutic. Not new for me though. I've always kept journals, notes and stories. So I was really blogging before it was called blogging.

Sometimes I wish the Internet was around when I was a teenager. I would have had a blog then. Back then I would have been posting Bible verses and sharing Winans, Hawkins Family and Clark Sisters songs but I would have been doing it regularly. It would have been interesting, to me anyway, to see myself grow up in print. In a way I can do that now because I still have so many of my journals, but I imagine it would have been more exciting to see everything documented in one space. On one blog.

My friend Aquiah has a teenaged daughter who is very creative. I asked her if she thought about Ayla, her daughter, having a blog. I mean, I'm not pushing anything really because she's already on Facebook. Aquiah liked the idea and said she would talk to her. The gigantic downside to a child having her own blog though, is the tendency to say too much. There are people out there with horrific intentions and a teenager might not be able to resist the urge to mention that she is home alone during certain hours or some other family matter that should stay in "Vegas." So maybe it isn't such a good idea after all.  (But kinda though, right?)
