Happy Sunday
Good morning family. It's 5:11 right now and I am up celebrating life. Honoring breath. Choosing freedom. Loving this day. Uraeus is in the room sleep and there is just nothing like looking at him resting. Nothing like my hand on his back as I pray for him.
Thank You Mother/Father God for this day. For who You are as strength, as reminder, as forgiveness, as parent, as guide. Thank You.

Praising God through music and poetry
Tonight Lynette and I performed, although performed is the wrong word for doing God's work. We shared our music and poetry and stories with a beautiful group of fabulous women. God's women. We shared, they shared. We embraced and prayed and looked across the room at each other and recognized each other as sisters. As ourselves. As love.

Happy Friday
Beautiful morning, family. 11:00am and I am heading out of the door for work today. Feeling great. Glad I didn't talk myself out of going to dance class last night because I had a really great time. Creating art through dance. All art. I rushed home, took a shower and went to Poet's Jazz House. Tried to talk myself out of that too but didn't. Glad. I didn't perform but glad I went. I like documenting the faces there. Gotta get up and get out.

I was the guest today on KLBC (Long Beach City College radio) with host Urban Voodoo
I had a wonderful time today on the show! It was my longest time being on the radio for sure! Almost three hours and I loved every minute of it. Thank you to all of you who called in and to those who shared your opinions and poetry. Shout out to George Martinez out in New York. Keep OCCUPYing WALL STREET Brother! Thank you Urban Voodoo, I had a wonderful time! Until later! And I look forward to having you as my guest at Red Stories in December.

perhaps. but sometimes the pressures of life are heavier than one can deal with at a particular time. those pressures build and build until people snap. it is a sad situation.

I believe that's an excuse. Cause I've pressures of life as well, and never thought about killing anyone let alone 8 people. NO EXCUSES FOR IGNORANCE!!! I was told that GOD won't put more on you than you can handle, and I am a witness!!

this is true and i am in no way defending or excusing his tragic actions, im only stating that many among us dont have coping skills and dont know how to handle the pressure and we are all living together.

i dont believe that this is a black white thing. this is a human problem. even if only "certain ethnic" groups wild out like this, which i dont believe is true, everyone is still affected

wow! lol i would be careful.... Jaha, yes it is sad. I feel so bad for all of the families and friends affected by this person's actions. I'm amazed at the stupidity though. If you're angry over custody of your child, how does killing the child's mother and 7 other people help? He gets the "THAT GUY" award for the day. smh

ur correct, I pray for the surviving victims and families of the deceased. However, I refuse to make excuses for a weak minded soul!! Cause I've had my wife MURDERED, and I could've used that as an excuse to go off(execute), kill anyone. But, I know that wouldn't bring her back. That kat was weak minded. That's it, that's all. Much love

james i got your point and i appreciate the conversation. ummm, just in case it was a mistake, did you just say that you had your wife "MURDERED"? maybe that was a typeo and youd like to correct that so that its not hanging there in black and white.

i think he was trying to say that he had to deal with his wife being murdered.
we all know that but yeah, the wording was all messed up. i think he was trying too hard to get his point across and didn't proofread his comment before submitting.

??? and domestic violence cases are 50% of their misdemeanor cases. this was a very dangerous message. this is a call for all of us to use our voices. im not sure if im reading your message clearly, by "i cant fight it" does that mean, han...ds off let them do what they will? i understand that the word fight can evoke negative feelings in some that make them back off but this message rains on all of us. dear brother if i have misunderstood your response i apologize.

Message.meant no human can do anything when their blood boils correctly..we must began to b spiritual activist..sometimes we do reverse propagnda on ourself..instead of true information we just get hyped up and burnt out then we cant do the... true work ...believe me my work tells I how I feel about issue of domestiv violence..i hope u got to check out peaceovervilonce.org...i am teaching 25 kids yoga for 12 months as they prepare to become teen educators and go into the schools and do plays on isuues of domestic vilonce,sexual,abuse,bullying and teen stalking...

i do understand spiritual activism. i am it. when you say things like "instead of true information we just get hyped..." in the context of this conversation its a passive judgement. i was moved to create the post for many reasons one of whi...ch was a woman i saw with severe bruises that in the eyes of most would be considered a felony but was only counted as a small violation. as human beings use the tools we have to create peace. i am called to use my voice. thank you for who you are and the actions you take.
