Father's day.

Happy Father's day to my father who is on the other side of the veil. I have many stories of my father I could tell. None I want to go into right now. There were things that complicated our relationship but I know that he always loved me. He told me often. He drank a lot. He gambled. He was very much a human being. He didn't hide his flaws. He wasn't the best father to a child but he was able to show me his love as I became an adult. He listened to me. We listened to each other. I loved, still love him. I wouldn't be who I am if it weren't for him.
