Gratitude

I am thankful for my eyes opening
For unpleasant and confusing dreams that I am not stuck in
I am thankful for shelter and food and clothes
For love, peace and understanding
I am thankful for my son
For my niece and nephew
For all the children in my life
For my mother
My brothers and sisters
I am thankful for art
For the invitation yesterday to be in a gallery show
I am thankful for poetry and my community
For patience and water
I am thankful for this quiet time
