passing time

mostly / i'm kinder to myself / i stop in front of the mirror instead of rushing past / mostly / i am appreciating the people who love me / love me with prayers / with money / with art and book sales / with phone calls and kind words and texts / mostly my life is pretty simple / i write mostly / but i paint pictures too / i sing sometimes/ dance during commercials / i love up on my plants / my son / my soup / there are moments though / when i get stuck / so i sit / i pray and think and drink tea and do laundry / i do a lot of laundry / mostly i breathe / all the way in / out / i eat too / not too much though / but enough / i stretch / reach all the way to the moon sometimes too / and i dream / sleep / wonder
