"Who dis here woman?"

She is Queen

Salt of the earth

She be ink that write stories

draped in life's experiences

Her attitude infused with strength

She bathes in love

Carries love in her heart

Her heart be big, bigger than life

Her soul is angelic

Her words can bring warmth

or cause an uprising

She is Kemetic Sunshine

She is Uhura

Warrior woman

Black that will never crack

She has creativity locked

inside every freckle

She is mother to a son

who be the air she breathes

She was born a scribe

Baptized in poetry

She is a book that is open

Turn her pages and

learn her by heart

She is my sister

we share the same artistic blessing

She is light at the end of the tunnel

My friend who has rotated

51 times around the sun
